Founded in 2015 by a group of musicians who share a similar musical heritage and believe that one's music journey is lifelong, the DAO aims to bring excellent music performances to Hong Kong and beyond through concerts and community engagement.

Currently, the DAO comprises over 60 members who are keen on making music and performing together as an orchestra. Many of our orchestra members were award winners at various local and international music competitions in the past.  Whilst our orchestra members have embarked on various career paths, we continue to share the same passion to build on our heritage and legacy of musical excellence.

Since our inaugural concert in 2016, the DAO has performed frequently at music concerts and fundraising concerts as a symphony orchestra, string orchestra and chamber group.
